The Kicks are a rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed after the members, lead singer Jordan Phillips, guitarist Adam Stark, bassist Gabriel Anderson, and drummer Lucas Cummins, met in college in the city. The chemistry was immediate, and within just a few gigs the band became one of the most talked-about non-country acts in Nashville's music scene, quickly earning opening slots for major acts like John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr., the Black Keys, Rooney, 3 Doors Down, and Los Lonely Boys, along with festival appearances at SXSW, Austin City Limits, and the Vans Warped Tour. Their breakout single "Good Morning" reached a wide audience through a national Lowe's TV ad campaign, and several of their songs were licensed for shows including The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, and Bones.
